We at Welwyn Garden City Golf Club are the best kept course in Hertfordshire and offer great function room hire for all business meetings and celebrations! Established in 1923, we are the home club of six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo and Tom Lewis, a two-time Portugal Masters champion, European Tour and PGA Tour professional. Over the years, we have gained an amazing reputation for consistently providing our members and guests great courses, excellent dining & drinking facilities, and offering a warm, friendly welcome.
The grounds is home to 18 hole courses for you to work through, and it is par 70 for men and at 5,527 yards, par 72 for the ladies. Our courses provide a fair and enjoyable test for golfers at any level and they have superb drainage meaning it is possible to play them all year round, providing a good venue for both summer and winter visitors and societies.
We currently have over six hundred playing members in our traditional yet progressive members’ club! We even have a very strong junior section too. Having such an active membership, means our clubhouse has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Societies & visitors are welcome to come down during every week to play golf, with some availability at weekends. Alternatively you can simply enjoy a relaxing drink on our patio, and look out at the stunning views over the golf course, or you can sit down for a meal prepared by our head chef upstairs in our dining room with great panoramic views.
We have great function rooms available too for business meetings and events as well as for special occasions and celebrations. Our meetings & conference rooms in particular are ideal to hold small and large gatherings. You can have access to a screen, projector and flip chart to ease organisation of your day. Room hire charges do vary depending upon your guest size and additional catering costs can be added to give your clients a relaxed atmosphere for your business needs.
